TABLE OF CONTENTS

April 6th

Today is Easter Monday in Ireland. We don’t have to work, which is great! I wish every Monday could be like this 😄. Even though it was my day off, I didn’t have any special plans.
My husband and I decided to go to a dumpling restaurant for lunch. They were just ordinary dumplings, and to be honest, they were a bit of letdown.
At the end of the day, I came up with the idea of writing a novel.

I’m happy that I only have to work three more days until the weekend. How nice! I went for a run after work today. The simple fact that I ran gives me a sense of accomplishment and boosts my self-esteem. I noticed that the signage for one of the divisions on my floor had been quietly removed. It makes me feel like layoffs are not fiction, but a reality.
I read an article saying that Japanese automaker’s sales in the US decreased compared to the same quarter last year. I initially expected the reason to be the recent conflicts between Iran and the US, but that wasn’t it. In the same quarter last year, sales were high because of the tariffs the US imposed on Japan starting in April 2025. Many US consumers rushed to buy cars before April. Therefore, Japanese automakers already anticipated this decrease in sales.
I believe that a car manufacture that sells more units than its competitors can gain more knowledge and user feedback. Because of this. I think the companies with the highest sales volumes are able to produce the most reliable cars.

I went to Dunnes stores after work. I wanted to use a coupon I got from my previous shopping. I expected to get a 10-euro discount because I spent more than 50 euros. However, I couldn’t get the discount because I hadn’t read the description: it’s only valid when you spend another 50 euros on your next shop. I was bummed out on the way home.
After my husband came back from work, he said that he had already mentioned this in the morning, but I didn’t listen to him well. It was a sad story!

April 9th

I didn’t feel very motivated today, so I slept for 2 hours after work. I made pasta with egglant, minced meat, and tomato sauce for my husband.

April 10th

This week didn’t feel very long for me. I went for a run after work, but the wind was so strong and it started raining, so I only ran for 20 minutes. I was supposed to go on a hike with my friends tomorrow, but we chatted and decided to postpone it until next week.
Tonight, I watched the movie “Regarding a Certain Place in the Kinki Region” on Netflix. My husband was interested in it because he read the book during the flight on our previous trip. Horror movies are not really my thing, but I unwillingly watched it with him.

I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone else.

April 11th

When I woke up, I was surprised to see a clear blue sky! I was so happy that I suggested to my husband that we go for a hike. He didn’t agree, but we planed to go to Phoenix park to see the deer.
When we arrived at the bus stop, we found that the buses were stopped due to a strike in the city center. There were only a few buses running today, and they were all full. We decided to postpone seeing the deer at Phoenix park.
The strike was by farmers because diesel prices have been increasing recently, which has put a lot of pressure on their livelihoods. I also saw the news that European airlines are suffering from oil shortages and suggested they might not be able to handle flights scheduled 3 months from now.
I hope for world peace.
