June 15th
Nothing special happened today. I just worked on my project.
June 16th
The same as yesterday. I finished writing my blog post about my Santorini trip.

I went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned. I dislike teeth cleaning because it is really noisy and sometimes hurts. I always wonder, “Is it okay for my tooth to make that kind of noise during treatment?” I really want to know how the hygienist feels about it. At the moment, everything seems fine.

I had a team dinner at a rooftop bar close to the city center. I didn’t know about that kind of chic place in Dublin. I could see a panoramic view from this bar. The only problem was that the sun was too dazzling, the sun was basically in my eyes. I assumed the root cause was that our table was facing west. If I visit again, I will not choose this seat. The food quality was moderate, according to my colleagues’ comments.

I visited Powerscoart for one night, from Friday to Saturday. We headed to Wicklow after work. It was our first time using a rental car. Neither of us expected this hotel to have such a gorgeous, luxurious architecture and interior. I really love the style of this hotel. After checking into our room, we headed to the bar inside the hotel. We ordered the cocktails, but the alcoholic drink was too bitter and too strong. I couldn’t drink it at all. I physically understood that the Irish are heavy drinkers.

We woke up around 8 a.m. and headed to the breakfast in the hotel. There were plenty of food choices. I really enjoyed poached eggs with smoked salmon on bread. We saw that the forecast was rainy today, but it was completely sunny. We enjoyed cycling around the Powerscourt Estate.
The Powerscourt Hotel was previously owned by the Viscount Powerscourt. However, the 2008 Lehman Brothers collapse forced them to sell the estate. Their house was then opened as a hotel in 2015. It is great that the hotel preserves the original architecture and interior. I can feel the luxurious atmosphere. Also the cycling experience was so nice.
After checking out, we visited the waterfall. I thought it was my first time seeing a waterfall since I was an elementary school student, when I went to the Nikko Falls in Japan. I can feel that the water power was so amazing. I took a photo of the waterfall. I believe it is worth a visit.

I visited my Japanese friend’s house. It’s been almost six months since we last met when they visited our house. We had a fantastic time.
